Ryan Gosling: George Clooney made me wet my pants!

Ryan-Gosling
Ryan Gosling: George Clooney made me wet my pants! | The US Trends | A somewhat soggy Ryan Gosling reveals he was punk'd by his joker co-star 'George Clooney made me wet my pants!'. He's long been regarded as something of a Peter Pan in the movie world for his love of silly pranks - and Ryan Gosling has revealed that George Clooney is leaving his co-stars rather red-faced and wet of trouser in his latest comedy wheeze.

Lars And The Real Girl star Ryan, 30, worked with 50-year-old former ER star George on forthcoming movie The Ides Of March.

Talking to U.S. entertainment show Extra to promote new movie Crazy, Stupid, Love, Ryan revealed: 'He will come up to you and tell you something very serious, and then you walk away and you realise your pants are wet.

'He’s had like an Evian spray bottle. He’s been spraying your crotch the whole time.'

Ryan revealed he also had some laughs on the set of the new movie, which premiered in New York on Tuesday night.

On his dirty dancing scene with 22-year-old co-star Emma Stone, Ryan said she wouldn't trust him to lift her up.

He laughed: 'Emma was convinced I was going to drop her. She turned into a bag of rats, going all over the place. I lifted the double every time. Every time. And she was like, "Uh huh, uh huh... no, not doin' it!"'

Up In The Air star George has also had a long-running prank war with his Ocean's co-star Brad Pitt, with one stunt involving some rather rude bumper stickers.

George has plenty of time to indulge his bachelor-style pranks again too, having split from long-term girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis last month.

Crazy, Stupid Love opens in the UK on 29 July 29.

Ryan and George's political drama The Ides Of March meanwhile is out on 28 October.

It also stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood and Paul Giamatti. - The US Trends

Enchantress' spell

Primark dress (Yes again!!) and necklace, New look boots, mums belt.

I have been reading the story of Rapunzel and although she is the main character of the story, to me the enchantress that takes Rapunzel is actually a much more powerful character. She is feared by all the world and owns the garden full of rampion. To me I would rather be an attractive enchantress than an attractive Rapunzel who can not even rescue herself. I feel that this speaks allot about how I have been feeling towards my ambitions and career, I feel like I am growing stronger in myself and my abilities and hope that I can use these feelings towards something productive. Fairy tales to me always have meanings behind and life lessons hidden inside them!
This castle is literally 5 minutes away from wear i live, and is perfect to play out any fairy tale. I found myself wearing something that matched perfectly with the setting, even though I had not planned to. The belle sleeves on this dress are what attracted me to it so much, when the light catches in them they are perfect.
Having never explored the grounds of the castle before me and my good friend Lucia from
WHOTHEFUCKISMICKJAGGER went to explore it.
Im not going to lie, it was a pretty freaky day, with lots of strange things happening when we were there! There are hidden gardens and mazes as well as a spooky house at the top of the hill. We packed a picnic and headed out to what must be the most serene place! There are lots of beautiful images to show you, so stay tuned!

P.S If you haven't already be sure to enter my LUXLA GIVEAWAY below!

QPM 35 years old

In the Monday Planary session, Professor Martin Fejer decided to give a history of the quasi-phase matching, instead of the “current topics” as he planned. He said while he was researching the topic---history of QPM, he found many things “surprise me” so “might be interesting to you.”

The history was fancinating. Especially I found that a research area can start so “fast” ----1961 SHG was demonstrated, 1962 the paper on birefringent phase matching was published-----yet takes so many years to develop and can continue for many years more.

QPM was first used by A. Szillagyi in 1976. Now there are new topics such as aperiodic QPM gratings. I find these two topics in the Monday morning sessison very interesting; slant quasi phase matching, which has the possibility of developing high power lasers, and fabrication of a new walk off compensationg BBO periodic structure using the room-temperature bonding technique, which generates twice the SH UV power of a bulk BBO with the same length.

Talk in the wrong session?

I met Professor Masayuki Katsuragawa from Texas A&M University annual PQE conference, organized by Dr. Scully and Dr. Welch. We had always been in the same molecular modulation session.

Yesterday, surprisingly, I found he was in the Monday Quantum Optics session. His topic is “generation, manupulatoin, and characterization of highly discrete coherent spectrum” which shows beautiful square and triangular waveforms. The paper "A 10 THz ultrafast function generator—generation of rectangular and triangular pulse trains" is published recently in new journal of physics.

He refered to Professor Andy Kung’s talk in Friday my session---- frequency combs and waveform synthesis. Unfortunately, professor Kung didn’t arrive until after lunch so he missed his talk.

Dr. Sokolov, my supervisor, mentioned to me that this is actually a good thing. Instead of limit similar talks to one session, this helps more people to see our work.

A few things about the hotel

We came 1 day early, exhausted after the long trip and 5 hours jet lag. But we were super excited when we arrived at the hotel. We have a room with a view:

There is a few things I would like to share with you.

Right by the elevator, there is a woman who gives welcome package, she gives us a discount card and a nice map. Also much useful information such as the “fresh fruit market."

The restaurant close by is pricey, the food is very good though. If you don’t mind an extra 5 to 10 mintues walk, there is a “beach hut” which is much cheaper yet has very good food. We had catch of the day—"atti fish" yesterday. The salad with the papaya seed salad dressing is very fresh and tasty. There are roosters and hens who will eat your leftovers, if you have any!

Monday and Tuesday there is a hotel shuttle to the city mall. You can get groceries and also eat. It starts at 9:30 am in the morning and leaves every 30 minutes. The shuttle stops at 3pm.

Timothy Lee, a student from Optoelectornics research center, Univ. of Southampton, came a few days early. He gathered a lot of information and toured part of the city by BUS! Many places you can go by bus if you don’t have a rental car. The fare is pretty cheap.

Last don’t forget to check the weather forecast every day.
